9:00 am Doors opening
9:05 am Introduction
9:15 am Keynote - Cloud... is only the Beginning - Your tomorrow, today - James Allerton-Austin, Senior Director of Product Management at Oracle Corporation
There’s a storm coming. The modern enterprise is faced with a seismic shift in the expectations of their customers. These expectations, for new services, products, heightened privacy, and advanced interactions are driving organisations to change both quickly and radically, but how have they done that? Delivering on this intense demand requires a change to the DNA of an organisation, and of the technology choices they make to deliver an evolved offering to a more discerning and demanding consumer. The innovation of technology has, of course, far outpaced the change in Enterprise DNA and this rate of change is only increasing. Some see “Cloud" as the answer, yet Enterprises require more than many clouds can provide today. Those enterprises committed to successfully making the change both organisationally and technologically, need a platform on which they can build for the needs of tomorrow. Cloud is an important component part, but traditional “Cloud” is only the beginning.
10:00 am Session 1 - IoT Cloud Service Real Time Analytics : From Sensor Data to Business Value, Oracle ACE Director Luc Bors
This session will show you how to use Oracle IoT Cloud Service for Real Time Analytics. You’ll learn how to connect devices to the IoT Cloud Service and how to display sensor data from those devices in a web application. You’ll also learn how to use the stream explorer analytics capability of IoT Cloud Service to analyze the data that is 2 Template Word eProseed retrieved from devices connected to Oracle IoT Cloud Service, including how to implement stream exploration and how to add filtering. Finally, you will learn how to publish the analyzed stream and show the results in a web application.
10:45 am Coffee Break
11:00 am Session 2 - How to Make a Hybrid Identity Cloud Platform Really Work, Oracle ACE Director Ronald van Luttikhuizen/eProseed Partner and Technical Director Fabien Henriet
A lot of organizations have, or are actively looking at Identity and Access Management solutions in the Cloud to support them in having a single-source of truth for digital identities, to be able to manage access to APIs and data in the Cloud, to provide self-service profile management to end users and to support market-standards such as OAuth and OpenID. Besides this, a lot of organizations still have on-premise Identity and Access Management platforms and embedded Identity and Access Management solutions in on-premise applications. This session explores how organizations can realize a hybrid platform that encompasses and integrates both by leveraging Oracle Identity Cloud Service.
11:45 am Session 3 - Oracle 18c Autonomous Health Framework - a problem and solution space, Oracle ACE Director Jaffar Syed Hussain/Oracle ACE Director Marco Gralike
As Businesses become global, its quite challenging to ensure the business services are available 24x7 and maintain the persistent performance round the clock. Oracle RAC environments with large number of databases needs a lot of efforts and DBAs intervention to keep the databases running smoothly. Oracle 18c Autonomous Health Framework (AHF), a new generation tool, powered by applied machine learning capabilities, helps keeping the underlying database systems healthy and running smoothly with very minimal human reaction time. This session highlights the concepts of AHF architecture, talks about the components and what sorts of issues are addressed and how organizations can ensure persistent performance smooth running of databases. You will learn how to address the databases host availability issues and database availability and performance issues using the AHF model.
12:30 pm Networking Lunch
1:30 pm Session 4 - Blockchain Introduction for Developers, Oracle ACE Director Lonneke Dikamans
This session introduces blockchain technology to nonfinancial people. It highlights the architecture, history, and technical solutions. It also investigates what blockchain means in fintech (the financial technology industry) and how this can be applied to healthcare (electronic patient files) and general case management involving many stakeholders. The session concludes with some code examples from open source projects to help developers who want to get started with this architectural style.
2:15 pm Session 5 - Hybrid Cloud/OnPrem Solutions for Databases, Oracle ACE Director : Deiby Gomez/Oracle ACE Director Nassyam Basha
To have a disaster recovery site can be a huge investment since a new datacenter has to be considered in a remote site (its hardware, software, network, etc) and of course it takes time to build it. Oracle Cloud offers a scalable, flexible, reliable and highly available infrastructure where a Disaster Recovery Site can be built in few hours, with less investment than on-premise, without licensing problems. In this session some scenarios and configurations for Hybrid Cloud solutions for databases and middleware are discussed where a production site is on premise while the disaster recovery site is in Oracle Cloud, licensing, cost comparison between on-premise and Cloud will be discussed as well as some other advantages specially for QA / Test environments.
3:00 pm Coffee Break
3:15 pm Session 6 - Delivering Mobile Apps to the Field using Oracle, Oracle ACE Director Simon Haslam
Mobile apps are now not only a common deployment choice, in some cases they are the only one - many aspects of modern business operations benefit from automation but workers may not be in an environment that suits PC (or even laptop) usage. Last year eProseed built a mobile app for a UK Retailer to improve efficiency of their Click & Collect order processing at 200+ stores, as well as improve the customer experience. This app runs on ruggedized Android handheld devices with laser scanners and bluetooth portable printers. With their core systems already running SOA Suite and WebCenter, it was natural to consider complementary Oracle technologies for the mobile application. This session describes how to successfully deliver such a mobile application considering user experience, expectations, device management/rollout and some specifics around the Oracle mobile technologies used.
4:00 pm Session 7 - Create today your world with Oracle HCM Cloud, Geoffroy de Lamalle, eProseed CEO
